In a show that was infused with time-honoured Italian artistry, Salvertore Ferragamo fittingly presented their Resort 2013 collection in Paris at the prestigious Louvre museum last week. It was the first time an Italian fashion house has found themselves in the enviable position to stage a runway presentation in the historic setting, (due to the fact that Ferragamo is currently sponsoring an exhibit of Leonardo da Vinci’s work at the museum). Creative director Massimiliano Giornetti launched a collection in cool neutrals, full of intricate handiwork. Somewhere between boyish style and glam bohemian fashion, loose lightweight weaves mixed in with slouchy pants, short glittery dresses and motorcycle jackets were the look of the range.
“It’s super-modern and yet connected with the classics because every piece is the product of a tradition of ancient craft,” Giornetti stated. “The Ferragamo girl is cool, but she’s got culture.”

September The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands was converted into a makeshift runway for the retail giant’s two-week long Autumn Winter Fashion Festival.
Poster Magazine attended the series of fashion shows, exhibition and cocktail events, whilst photographer Aujin Rew went behind the scenes to capture the chaos and energy of the well- executed events. The runway featured season ranges from fashion powerhouses including Armani Exchange, Paul & Joe, Raoul, Energie and Banana Republic.
