Paloma Picasso has designed an enchanting new collection for the luxury house Tiffany & Co, drawing inspiration from exotic gardens she visited in Morocco, South Africa and Japan. “The garden is a gateway to nature,” Paloma says. “I wanted to create jewellery that captures the pleasure of discovering its infinite beauty and diversity.”
Lush bougainvillea flourishing in warmer climates form the basis for Intricate gold leat motifs on necklace . Paloma has skilfully stylised this motif in a romantic heart shape that has been multiplied and linked together to create an utterly striking feminine piece. Decorated in sparkling diamonds, and finished in 18 carat gold, the leaves displaying an iridescent shimmer at the turn of the head. The gold pendants are set in lustrous lapis, lazuli, and jade. Ornately handcrafted gold and silver bangles of generous width are best worn stacked on the wrist for a bold style statement.

Designers and stylists have been paying particular attention to the growing trend of collars as embellishments for some time now. The trend has transformed from a mere garment add-on to fun accessory in its own right. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton took it one step further by designing a solid, clean gold Peter Pan collar for the winter 2012 collection. Models sashayed down the Louis Vuitton runway in dresses, coats and blouses that appeared to have been designed with the Peter Pan collar as the common style expression. The aerodynamic, minimalistic approach to the collar, stamped with the iconic LV emblem is essentially the key aspect that gives it versatility to be worn with any attire.
