WORKSHOPPED

Now in its 11th year, the WORKSHOPPED Exhibition has firmly cemented its position as a pivotal platform to showcase the work of new and emerging Australian designers. Presented in conjunction with the PowerHouse Museum, it continues to pave the way for individual designs to become commercial reality by forging relationships with key industry representatives from manufactures to marketers. WORKSHOPPED hopes to challenge young designers to fulfill the design criteria that would see their vision move successfully from prototype to production.

It’s Magic

Surry Hills, Sydney, lies in the heart of Australia’s café culture, boasting a range of cafés and restaurants that are as diverse and eclectic as its street life. The inner-city suburb has one of the highest, if not the highest, concentration of restaurants in Australia. Monkey Magic serves modern Japanese cuisine and has been a hit with Sydney-siders since its recent opening. The signature Monkey Magic Sushi Platter (each nigiri is dressed in an individual special sauce) prepared to order by sushi chef Michiaki Miyazaki, who previously worked in a two Michelin-starred restaurant Kikunoi in Japan. With fresh ingredients and stellar cooking styles, the dishes are simply magic.
