Sydney’s annual festival of light, music and innovation is back from the 25th May – 11th June. The artist driven festival, in its fourth year will once again transform Sydney into a canvas of creativity and inspiration.

Vivid has become Sydney’s major winter festival with free and ticketed events at the Sydney Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art, Circular Quay, the Rocks and now extending to the Walsh Bay precinct for the first time.

Thirteen new installations will form the Walsh Bay Light Walk, curated by Sydney Dance Company’s resident multimedia artist Peter Greg. Set to be an immersive cinematic experience, the walk takes visitors from pier 1 to 9 on a journey of creativity and innovation, offering interactive pathways flooded with luminous colours and astounding sculptures.

A fractured heart created by the Illuminart team and ARIA Award winning performer Gotye alone is something not to be missed. Combining dazzling animations with unique musical notes when played as a harp by the audience, the interactive instrument is said to be a highlight of the walk.
